The arrogant noble Rufus is furious. Why? Because in a world where a popular RPG has come to life, he keeps dying miserably over and over again as a pathetic villainous noble. Such a disgraceful end is unworthy of a proud nobleman. He may only be twelve years old, but age doesn't matter. He is determined to do whatever it takes to avoid his tragic fate.

He takes down the corrupt official who started it all, eases the heavy taxes on his people, and continues to slay the monsters that ravage his domain. As he does, a hidden power that never appeared in the game begins to awaken. For some reason, the commoners begin to praise him, but he declares, "Don't misunderstand me, commoners. I'm doing this for myself."
